Goal

You have defined AutoAccounting to derive one or more segments from the Salesreps table.  You have entered an invoice using SalesrepA and now wish to update this to ensure salescredit goes to SalesrepB.  You need to ensure that SalesRepB receives the salescredit at both transaction header and transaction line level.

Solution

For Receivables account:

Whenever salesperson on the invoice is changed and saved, you are prompted to 'ReRun AutoAccounting'. After re-run auto accounting the system will default the receivable account as per the new salesperson setup.

For Revenue account, this will only change if the salesrep is ALSO modified at line level

In order to ensure the Revenue account is defaulted correctly at line level, change the salesperson details as follows:

Navigate: Transactions -> Transactions
Query the invoice and incomplete it
Click on SalesCredit button
Change the Salesperson by selecting new value from List of Values (LOV)
Click on Line Items, Sales Credit button
Change the Salesperson by selecting new value from List of Values (LOV)
The following prompt is displayed

Recreate Line sales credit from default sales credit? click on yes.

The following prompt is displayed:

Re run auto accounting - click on Yes.

Now verify the distributions of the revenue account which will be as per the new salesperson account.

In addition, when updating the salesperson only at transaction header level (not via the SalesCredits button), the following message is displayed:

APP-AR-11482: Updating the primary agent does not affect existing credit lines

This indicates that you have NOT changed the salesperson via the SalesCredits buttons at header and line level, and thus there will be no change in the allocation of the salescredits
