Why in some wip jobs with outside processing, the PO has been receipt with the correct quantity but when we look in the wip value summary form we see the cost relieved as null for outside processing

Solution

There are 3 possible causes for this issue:

1. The PO has been received, but qty not yet delivered to subinventory: make sure you perform both receiving AND deliver transactions.

2. The OSP resource transaction was not yet costed when WIP Assembly completion was done, that is why the cost of the OP was not relieved.
Example:

OSP resource transaction  was created on 15-MAR-2011 10:24:31 in WIP_TRANSACTIONS table but was costed only on 28-MAR-2011 (as per creation date for the distribution record in WIP_TRANSACTION_ACCOUNTS table)
WIP completion  was created on 22-MAR-2011 09:57:53 (as per record in MTL_MATERIAL_TRANSACTION table and costed also on 22-MAR-2011 as per distribution record in MTL_TRANSACTIONS_ACCOUNT table)

3. The OSP cost was not included in the rolled assembly cost: In Standard costing OSP cost will be relieved based on the assembly cost i.e. Assembly should have an OSP cost in its rolled cost in cost type = "Frozen". If it doesn't have OSP cost, it will not relieve.
