Symptoms
You have installed Ebusiness Suite R12 and are attempting to launch the 'Create Document' function from the 'Oracle Web Adi' responsibility
Navigation: Oracle Web ADI -> Create Document
Instead of displaying the create document page you receive a blank page or the following error:
404 Not Found
Resource /OA_HTML/oracle.apps.bne.webui.BneApplicationService not found on this server
The exact same symptoms are seen in the "Manage Document Links" function under the "Oracle Web ADI" responsibility
Cause
The problem you are experiencing is caused by using an old responsibility. The 'Oracle Web Adi' responsibility has been superseded by the 'Desktop Integration' responsibility. This is also documented in the Oracle® Web Applications Desktop Integrator Implementation and Administration Guide
Release 12.1
Part No. E12902-04
System Administrators:
System Administrators can access Oracle Web Applications Desktop Integrator
functionality from the Desktop Integration responsibility. Use this responsibility to
access the following functionality:
Create Document
Define Layout
Define Mapping
Setup Options
Define Stylesheet
Manage Document Links
System Administrators can also edit mappings and layouts for all integrators
Solution
To resolve the issue please assign the responsibility called "Desktop Integration"
Then use the create document function from that responsibility.
The Desktop Integration responsibility should now be used for ALL Web ADI functions as documented in the Oracle® Web Applications Desktop Integrator Implementation and Administration Guide. Please review the Oracle® Web Applications Desktop Integrator Implementation and Administration Guide for more information on Web ADI.
